Rambha is a good looking South Indian actress who is very popular for her beauty, voluptuousness, skimpy outfits, bold scenes, and for her sheer sex appeal. She was born on June 5, 1976 at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India, and was nicknamed Thunder thighs. To date, she has acted in more than 100 films and is known as a sex symbol in Bollywood, as well as in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, Kannada film industry. Career in Movies
Rambha entered the film industry as a Producer with the help of her brother; the film was 3 roses, in which Jyothika, Laila and herself, were the heroines. This movie was a big flop, but she came back with big success as a heroine.
She made her debut role in Telugu movie Aa Okkati Adakku (1993) opposite Rajendra Prasad and the film was a big hit. C. Sundar introduced Rambha in Tamil film Ullathai Alli Tha meaning give me your heart, this was another big hit, the song I love you love you sonnale in which she was clad in a red micro mini which flew up in the air took fans breath away and one fan even astated that “I saw that film hundred times just for the scene where Rambha walks stylishly with her frock flying up in the air”.
She then appeared in Ajith’s Rassi which was a shabbily made romantic movie, though the movie was not a big hit, it does not affect Rambha’s career and she move on grabbing more attractive roles in regional languages, including Bhojpuri.
A big break she received was when actor –director kamal Hassan signed her for his comedy Kathala Kathala. Though paired opposite to Prabhu Deva, there are many scenes where she appears with Hassan. Movie was a hit and people hugely complemented their on-screen match.
Rambha is a danseuse and beside her sex appeal, she has the ability to grab audiences’ attention by her wonderful dancing skills. Her mayilu mayilu dance with Simran, Prabhu Deva and Abbas became a big hit and Rambha became a household name.
